16th January 2022
Balgowlah Rotary new year began with a get together at Clontarf Reserve. It was great to catch up and share our news, despite the rain & Omicron. Great banter among the members, and a possible new one.
Our hard working Rotarians at Balgowlah have collected over 25,000 bottles and cans since November and the teams are still working hard to keep up with the demand.
We are now helping Warringah Rats Rugby to recycle during there home matches.
Lara Heesom from Mackellar Girls Campus gave a wonderful talk about her experience at the NYSF in Canberra in January.
Kerry Gwynne spoke about Dalwood/Spilstead Early Childhood Intervention Centre.
In 1928 Dalwood donated the property to the fund placing it in trust to be utilised only for children’s services.
Our November guest speaker was Matthew Taylor from Bush Heritage Australia. He is the President of the North Head Sanctuary Foundation.

Balgowlah Rotary Club sponsored 3 year 10 girls from Mackellar Girls Campus to attended RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program Enrichment) Camp via Zoom.
